Season’s Greetings 2022

Dear customers, partners, and peers,

We would like to send you all our warmest holiday greetings. It is our hope you get to celebrate and enjoy this season with your loved ones.

Looking back at the year that is coming to a close, we are filled with pride and excitement to see that our team has grown significantly. The many new faces being a result of steady growth in both our BGAN related business and not least our recent success within 5G NTN.

Our new ventures into the realm of 5G NTN has been an exciting addition to our capabilities. We are enthused to be part of laying the groundwork for coupling terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks through our involvement in ETSI and 3GPP and looking forward to continuing this work for the years to come. With 5G we are currently working with several large satcom corporations on feasibility studies, demonstrations and deployment projects.

As for our classic space business we have been busier than ever, having won several orders for development of new BGAN features for both existing as well as new customers. We have experienced an increased interest in our network emulator tools, and particularly the new Flight Path Emulator and OMNI extensions to the BGAN Network Emulator. The Flight Path Emulator in particular is gaining the interest of the growing UAV segment. We are currently developing the new Carrier Aggregation feature for our BGAN Network Emulator, and with the MARIOT project our software will be sent into space on a Danish-made satellite in January 2023.

This year we also got to return to physical conferences and events, and the networking and knowledge sharing in person we do not take for granted. Our days of learning will never be over, and for each conversation we gain another perspective of the satcom industry. Thank you, to all whom we have connected with during this year’s conferences.

As we turn the page on 2022 and enter 2023 it will bring about a significant change for us as we will be entering into the new year with a refreshed look. We will be saying goodbye to our current logo and hello to a new one. We hope all our clients, partners and peers will be able to recognize us and not least recognize what we stand for in our new look.

It is our hope that you also have much to look back on with joy as well as new and exciting prospects on the horizon. We are thankful for the satcom community we are a part of and dedicated to continually contribute to strengthening our network. From our point of view, the satcom industry has a responsibility to work together for a better and more sustainable world through connectivity.

Our warmest wishes for the Holidays and the New Year, on behalf on the entire Gatehouse Satcom Team,

Thomas S. Jensen, CEO
