Gatehouse Satcom to submit full proposal for Flight Path Emulator

Gatehouse Satcom will receive funding for a new ESA project: Flight Path Emulator. The next step is an agreement of a full proposal with European Space Agency.

Flight Path Emulator is a new feature extension of the BGAN Network Emulator which allows users to test their applications in an off-air test bench. It emulates the BGAN radio link and ground station for a given flight path by inducing impairments to the signal as if the BGAN terminal and connected applications were installed in an aircraft travelling the defined flight path.

“We are excited about the opportunity to give ATM system developers the possibility to test their systems in a much cheaper, better and less time-consuming way than before”, says Svend Holme Sørensen, Gatehouse Satcom Product Manager.
